Mr. Sumit Gupta is an entrepreneur, business leader and the driving force behind a diversified business journey spanning architectural cladding, glass manufacturing and renewable energy.
With an MBA and a strong entrepreneurial vision, Mr. Gupta began his journey in the architectural materials industry in 2003 after recognizing the potential of Aluminium Composite Panels in India. What started as a vision to build high-quality architectural products has evolved into a growing business ecosystem driven by manufacturing excellence, innovation and long-term thinking.
Under his leadership, Alstone has grown into an established name in India's architectural cladding industry with a comprehensive portfolio spanning ACP, aluminium honeycomb panels, HPL, louvers and other advanced facade solutions. Today, Alstone has more than two decades of industry presence with a wide product portfolio, pan-India network and hundreds of channel partners.
His entrepreneurial vision further expanded into the glass industry with Emerge Glass, established in 2013. The company has developed capabilities across sheet glass and container glass manufacturing and serves diverse industrial applications. Emerge Glass' manufacturing expertise and understanding of glass science have subsequently provided an important technological foundation for its next phase of growth.
The next chapter of Mr. Gupta's journey is focused on one of the world's most important transitions—the shift towards clean and renewable energy.
Through Emerge Renewables, he is extending the group's manufacturing capabilities into solar glass with a vision to strengthen India's renewable energy ecosystem. The company is developing North India's First Solar Glass Plant with a planned capacity of 300 TPD and 1.6 GW per annum, creating a strategic manufacturing capability for the rapidly expanding solar industry.
Emerge Renewables brings together Emerge Glass' experience in glass manufacturing with the Alstone Group's established manufacturing and business expertise. This combination reflects Mr. Gupta's approach to building businesses around strong technical capabilities while identifying opportunities that can contribute to India's future growth.
